For your convenience, I have listed a few things you may want to consider:

Have you recycled the boxes you intend to keep?

Have you made an inventory of items the seller or builder has agreed to address?

Have you filled out and submitted a change of address form?

Your insurance policy limits your time to make a claim. Check all major appliances and electronics for possible damages during the move.

Keep all receipts and documentation related to your move in one file and keep the file in a safe, secure place. These documentations, in the event it is necessary, will serve as proof to the IRS for tax deductions.

Get to know your community. A Newspaper may help, but you will want to know school routes if necessary, the closest hospital, grocery store, dry cleaners, parks, etc.

Do your research to save money on service providers, as different programs are offered in different areas. You may be able to find an open wireless connection near you and not have to pay for internet service, but be careful as these connections are unsecure.

Once you have an internet connection, you may want to get on auto bill pay to make managing your finances easier.

Make sure all of your insurance policies are accurate or if you need to create new policies.

For more detailed list of considerations that may fit your unique situation, click here. I hope this short list of items you are enjoying your new home and please do not hesitate to give me a call.
